Austin band directory
Hi, this is an introduction to a first pass at my thoughts on what this project might look like. A lot of the details are going to be scuffed looking and it's going to be full of placeholder stuff. I'm also not worried about things like color or font right now. A lot of the interactions won't really work either.
Mainly I'm interested in two things at the moment:
- If the content seems reasonable to ask for
- Preferences on which layout you might prefer
Each page will have some annotations describing what's on the page and what I'm looking for feedback on.

Ultimately, the goal of this project is to archive the current Austin bands and musicians. As a result, there are some important things I want to point out.
- I'd really like anything that's submitted to this to be kept indefinitely. So I want to make sure that any information is added with consent and is something you'd feel comfortable existing long term on the internet.
- It would be best if this information is kept up to date as much as possible because I feel like means something if it is accurate. That said, I'm not sure what the best way to do this is. I could allow y'all to update your own pages but I also don't want this to be something you want to continually need to think about. But I also don't know what a reasonable contact frequency would be. Once a year? Once every 3 months?
Ideally this phase will last for the next month or so as I send this out and get some feedback after which I'll get started on a real version by the end of August/mid September.
